1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Pennr app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. About Pennr

Pennr is a fuel price comparison service that helps users in the United Kingdom find and compare fuel prices at nearby petrol stations. Price data is sourced from the UK Government Fuel Finder Scheme and community contributions.

3. Price Information

3.1 Informational Purpose Only

All fuel prices displayed in the App are provided for informational purposes only. Prices are sourced from third-party data providers and community reports, and are not guaranteed to be accurate, current, or complete.

3.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy

Pennr makes no warranty, express or implied, that prices shown in the App reflect the actual prices charged at any fuel station at any given time. Prices may have changed since they were last reported.

3.3 Verify at the Pump

You should always verify the current price at the fuel pump before refuelling. Pennr accepts no responsibility for any loss or inconvenience arising from a discrepancy between prices displayed in the App and the actual price charged at a station.

4. Location Services

The App requires access to your device's location to provide core functionality (finding nearby fuel stations). Location services are used only while the App is active in the foreground. You may revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; this will disable the nearby search feature.

5. Licence to Use

Pennr grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems or data.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and software in the App are the property of Pennr or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any rights to Pennr's intellectual property other than the limited licence set out in Section 5.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Pennr does not warrant that:

  • The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses;
  • Any defects will be corrected;
  • Price data will be accurate, complete, or up to date.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pennr and its directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage;
  • Loss of profits, revenue, or data;
  • Loss arising from your reliance on price information displayed in the App;
  • Loss arising from your inability to use the App.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the App shall not exceed £100.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party mapping and navigation services. Use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Pennr is not responsible for third-party services.

The App may contain links to external websites. Pennr has no control over, and accepts no responsibility for, the content or practices of any third-party site.

10. Changes to the App and Terms

Pennr reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes to the Terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Termination

Pennr may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, if you breach these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
